Message an electric pump for our engines but they didn't seem interested in taking the project on..... in the end, DIY. :)
I've got about $1500 in the electric water pump in my Z but a vast majority of that was for all the CNC machine programming. I'm planning to come out with my e-water pump later this year for around $500.....

The main thing to keep in mind is that just having the electric water pump is only one element in a system containing 4 major parts. You will need in addition to the pump an electric water pump controller, an electric fan and shroud for the cooling system (radiator), and a higher output alternator.

So far I'm at:
~$1500: water pump
~$500 electric fan and custom shroud (price only includes the fan itself and the cost of having the mold produced from the shroud pattern I created; my time building the pattern is not included)
~$200 170A alternator (this is just the price of the alt; doesn't include my time spent making it fit, wiring it up, sourcing an appropriate belt, etc)
~$200 for the controller: however, I built my own controller and have about 10 hours in designing it, etching the board, installing the board components. An off-the-shelf controller can be purcahsed for around $200.

For myself: ~$2200 for an electric water pump and other required system modifications.

At $700 for the Meziere pump and required components, the total cost to a person will be around $1400:

$700 pump
$200 alternator
$300 electric fan and shroud kit
$200 controller

Keep us posted on this - I haven't had any problems with my electric water pump for ~12,000 miles now since I went with the compact bellows shaft seal which is rated at 100,000 mile service life. I've been holding off on producing/selling the water pumps for the fact I want to make sure the product is as reliable as it needs to be - and in so much I'm the only guinea pig in the development of it. But depending on the service life I get out of my pump, I may opt to go with the meziere product when mine fails so long as their unit has proven to last longer......
